"LA is a long ways away from Brooklyn"

Tommy has spent most of his life in the entertainment industry...from a Rock & Roll Drummer to over 20+ years in Film, Television and Live Stage Production...as a Writer, Producer, Director, Actor, Line Producer and 1st Assistant Director.  As an Actor, his credits include Feature Films, Television, Commercials & Theatre.

Transplanted from Brooklyn, New York... Tommy moved to Los Angeles to attend the UCLA Film & Television Program (The commute was killing him) over twenty five years ago.  Film was a natural segue from Music, through Music Videos.

Tommy started to study Improv to help with his Comedy Writing and discovered his talent as an Actor and was encouraged to pursue it professionally by his teachers, Dee Marcus, Minda Burr and as a member of Groundlings and The Second City... the rest is history. 

Tommy spends the bulk of his time these days Acting, (Commercial & Theatrical) Writing & Producing Indie Films and working with Actors with Disabilities.  "You gotta give a little back if you want to keep it."  He has 26 Film, 9 Television, 12 Theatre, 4 Print and 11 Commercial appearances to his credit... 38 of those credits since June 2005!! 

His Writing credentials include sitcom specs for shows like; "Friends", "The John Larroquette Show", "Cybill", "Fired Up", "Spin City" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm.",  Shows in development, hour-long Comedies & Dramas, Sitcom Pilots, Stage Plays and Feature Length Screenplays.  Tommy was Writer-Director of the Sketch Comedy Show, "Safe Sex...and other serious things to laugh about"... with Comedy Troupe, "Damaged Goods."  Tommy also writes freelance Theatre & Film Reviews for the DGA and L.A. Splash Magazine.

Currently in Development; Feature Film, "The Dream Merchant"; Hour-long Crime Drama Pilot, "Snitch... stories of a confidential informant" and Episodic Reality Series, "Saddle up With the Stars."

News 2010

Tommy finished shooting 8 Episodes of "Heckle-U", new Comedy for CBS with Tom Arnold, Owen Benjamin, Katie Cleary and Chris Wylde.  Tommy was a Recurring Guest Star as Donnie... the Local Drunk!!

9/22/08 - GREAT NEWS!  The Music Video "Sound of Truth" by As I Lay Dying "WON" Best Music Video at the San Diego Film Festival.  Directed by Brian Thompson, in this sequel to "Nothing Left", Tommy was Lead Actor as the Dystopian Leader. >> View Video <<

9/18/08 - The Comedy "Bob Funk" will have it's Premiere U.S. Screening at Fox Studios.  Tommy will appear as "Mr. Mann."

9/09/08 - Tommy will play the "Singing Cowboy" in the short Musical Film, "The Ballad of Letter Foldin' Joe", Directed by Zach Guerra. 

9/08/08 - GREAT NEWS!  The film Entry Level, Directed by Douglas Horn, has Distribution and will be released World Wide December 2008  In this Independent Romantic Comedy, Tommy was a Supporting Actor as the "Xerographic Excellence Manager", with D.B. Sweeney, Missi Pyle, Taylor Negron, Kurtwood Smith, Steve Ryan and Cedric Yarbrough.

7/12/08 - Tommy will play "Randolph Scott" in the Comedy Short, "Love, Cary", Directed by Sabrina Parke.

7/10/08 - Tommy will play "Charlie Wilson" in the Filmed Directed Scene Study of "Charlie Wilson's War" at the Los Angeles Film School, Directed by Travis Cosgriff.  "You gotta give a little back if you want to keep it"

4/10/08 - Tommy was Lead Series Regular in the Web-Episodic Pilot, "Home Repo" for Comedy Central.  Directed by Chris McDonnell, Tommy played the "Father."

3/08/08 - Tommy has a supporting role as "Mr. President" in the Comedy, "Memphis Rising: Elvis Returns", Directed by M.V. Silverz.

1/05/08 - Tommy will play one of the Leads of the Original Play, "The Vampires", Written & Directed by Chris Berude, in the role of Professor Klexon, the Vampire Slayer.  Opening January 21st, at the Next Stage Theatre in Hollywood for a Six Week run.

11/17/07 - Was Principal Lead in "As I Lay Dying" new Music Video, "The Sound of Truth" for MTV, the Sequel to "Nothing Left", Directed by Brian Thompson.  Tommy again was the leader of the Dystopian Society. >> View Video <<

8/17/07 - Will play Mr. Mann in the new dark comedy Feature Film, "Bob Funk" Directed by Craig Carlisle for Unified Pictures.  In this Supporting role, Tommy is the old love interest of Ms. Funk, (Grace Zabriskie of "Big Love") who shows up after 20 years.  Due for release early 2008.

8/01/07 - In the Comedy Film, "Last Meal", Directed by Mark Stern, Tommy plays the Supervising Prison Guard bringing the condemned man his final meal before execution. The film, funded by a competitive grant from the Peter Stark Foundation and already accepted in the prestigious First Look Film Festival at the DGA.  

7/29/07 - Tommy was Lead Actor in the short film, "Opening Doors", Directed by Christiana State.  On his 60th Birthday, a father learns he has a Son, accepts his oldest Daughter's marriage to another woman and brings together the Family he loves.

7/17/07 - Was Principal Lead in "As I Lay Dying" new Futuristic Music Video for MTV, "Nothing Left", Directed by Brian Thompson.  Tommy was the leader of a Dystopian Society. >> View Video <<

7/7/07 - Finished writing his first One Act Play, "Wall Street & Woodstock" and submitted it to the Skypilot Theatre Company One Act Play Festival.  Winners will be announced in October.  7/7/07 should be a lucky day!! >> Read the Script <<

6/16/07 - For Universal Pictures, Tommy played a Congressman in Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and Philip Seymour Hoffman's new Feature Film, "Charlie Wilson's War",  Directed by Mike Nichols and written by Aaron Sorkin. (Studio 60, West Wing)  Due to be released Christmas 2007

5/9/07 - Was Principal Performer in AARP's new National Commercial, "Too Young", Directed by Peter Care.  Spot was produced by Bob Industries for add agency, GSD&M of Austin, TX.  Tommy is the Cowboy with the horse in the barn.  Currently running Nationally on Cable.

4/17/07 - Became Company Member of Skypilot Theatre Company and cast in the Play "Requiem for a Heavyweight" at T.U. Studios in the NOHO Arts District in the role of Charlie the Bartender.  Play runs Fri-Sat 8pm - Sun 7pm May 27th - June 24th - Previews 5/25-26.

1/12/07 - Cast in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award Nominated Play, "Prelude to a Kiss" by Craig Lucas in the role of Dr. Boyle.  Directed by Brett Schlank, this West Coast Production originally Premiered 1990 by The Circle Repertory Company on Broadway (440 Performances) and was made into a Feature Length Film in 1992.  Opening January 21st, at the Next Stage Theatre in Hollywood for a Six Week run.

10/13/06 - Was Principal in Comedy Spot for B.C. Wine Commercial, playing a Priest enjoying drinking wine with a Nun.

08/10/06 - Wrapped shooting Entry Level, Directed by Douglas Horn.  In this Independent Romantic Comedy, Tommy was a Supporting Actor as the Hiring Manager, 'The Sarge', with D.B. Sweeney, Missi Pyle, Taylor Negron, Kurtwood Smith, Steve Ryan and Cedric Yarbrough.

.06/19/06 - Performed one of the Leads in the Staged Reading of Pressure at The Hollywood Court Theater for FIRSTSTAGE LA in the role of Anderson Bling, the Dean of the University - Mon. June 19th.

06/05/06 - Performed the Staged Reading of In the Midst of Them at The Hollywood Court Theater for FIRSTSTAGE LA in the role of Mr. George Lynch - Mon. June 5th.

03/26/06 - Was Principal Performer in Verizon's, 'Verizon Business' National Spots as the CEO for Euro RSCG Ad Agency.  Airing date TBD.

02/28/06 - Was Principal in Promises Recovery Centers Commercial. View

02/02/06 - Great news!!  Desperate Hippies was accepted into The Tromanale Film Festival in Germany and will be screening on Feb 16th.  Tommy had a Supporting role as the Cop busting the Stoners.

01/29/06 - Became Company member and Appearing with Mysteries En Brochette, as Monte Stone, in Speakeasy Saturday Night.  This hilarious 1920's interactive "who dunnit" murder mystery is Tommy's first show with the company as the "Big Shot Mobster Monte", opens Saturday, Feb. 25th, 7pm, at Harbor House in Marine Del Rey... also: Apr. 22nd - more to follow.

01/03/06 - Wrapped shooting Severe Visibility.  In the supporting role of General Akerley, this Feature Film deals with the controversial issues surrounding Flight #77 that crashed into the Pentagon on 9/11.  Tommy was the Army General in charge of the investigation.  Severe Visibility is on it's way to the Tribeca Film Festival (2007). 12/10/05 - Tommy will appear in the Holiday Play, It's a Wonderful Life... Not!, at the Performing Arts Studio West, in the role of Bram DithersDithers was probably the guy Charles Dickens based Scrooge on.

11/19/05 - Was a Supporting Actor in, It Moved Here From Hell, playing Ronald Reagan in this Comedy Short.

11/05/05 - Mr. Wilson-O'Brien was Print Actor for the Film Promotional Poster for Transgressions.  The Poster will be up at The ArcLight Theater in Hollywood for the Film's screening in January 2006.

10/31/05 - Finished Filming Anonymous Sources.  Tommy was the Lead, Detective Mike Hollis, investigating a string of murders where a News Reporter, who he's known for years, suspiciously is always the first one on the scene. View

10/16/05 - Off to Post Production!!  Just wrapped Know Your Enemy, a World War II, B&W 35mm Short. View Trailer -View

9/19/05 - Tommy is currently in Syracuse, New York filming Northern Lights, an Independent Feature Film as Ben, one of the Lead roles!! View

9/10/05 - Wrapped the Comedy, I Should've Stayed in Bed.  Tommy played the lead, Bernie, a Brooklyn loan shark (not much of a stretch) who was out to collect a $50K debt from a desperate young man...and, gets killed in the end!! View

9/02/05 - Tommy had a Co-Starring role in the Television Pilot, Dinner Meeting, for the Discovery Channel.  Still waiting for news if it got picked-up!!

8/25/05 - Shot the Public Service Announcement (PSA) for Television, Privacy is Patriotic, as the Lead Principal.

8/17/05 - Was Print Model for Bioventrix's "Ripped" Campaign.

8/15/05 - Tommy was Principal in a Time Warner Commercial.

8/05/05 - Played the Lead Security Guard, Joe, In Territory, a story of a man's last day on the job after 25 years and the struggle over who he is without his work.

7/06/05 - Playing the lead, General Jack Farthing, in the 1960's Sci-Fi Film, It Came from Beyond the Mountain, Tommy enjoyed working with Special Effects & Blue Screen Shooting. View

7/01/05 - Became Eligible for Membership in the Screen Actors Guild. (SAG)  An Exciting moment in any Actor's Career!!

6/10/05 - Returned from Palm Springs after Filming Have a Nice Day, a 1950's Film Noir.  Tommy was one of the Lead Actors, Jules Ducanny, wealthy socialite. View

6/05/05 - In the Comedy Short, Desperate Hippies, Tommy had a Supporting Role as the Cop busting a couple of stoners smoking pot in their car.

6/3/05 - Wrapped Principal Photography for Independent Feature, One Among Us, in the Supporting role of Stanley, with James Russo.

5/21/05 - Tommy is very pleased to Announce signing with Jeff Donaldson of Pacific Talent & Models, Commercial and Theatrical Talent Agency, in their Talent Division.  Jeff, along with Chris & Beth Chapman, will be representing Tommy as his Commercial & Theatrical Talent Agents!!

2/14/05 - Tommy launches his Acting Career after five years and over twenty years behind the camera.  Great to have him back in front of the Lens!!
